Identity & Payment Verification with Stripe
Trust and safety are essential to hosting. Ospite Bee uses Stripe, a global payment and identity verification provider, to help protect hosts, guests, and the platform.
This page explains how verification works for both hosts and guests.
Stripe Verification for Hosts
All hosts on Ospite Bee are required to connect a Stripe account before receiving payouts.
Stripe performs identity and compliance checks as part of this process, which may include:
- Verification of legal name
- Date of birth confirmation
- Address verification
- Bank account validation
- Government-issued ID (where required by Stripe regulations)
This verification is handled directly by Stripe, not by Ospite Bee.
Ospite Bee does not collect, store, or manage host identity documents.
Why this matters for hosts
- Ensures payouts go to verified individuals or businesses
- Helps prevent fraud and impersonation
- Meets international financial and regulatory requirements
Only verified hosts can receive payments.
Stripe & Guest Payments
Guests are required to use a valid payment method to book on Ospite Bee.
Stripe securely handles all guest payments, including:
- Payment authorisation
- Fraud checks
- Chargeback protection processes
Ospite Bee does not store guest card details.
Guest Identity Verification
Ospite Bee does not require upfront ID uploads from guests.
However:
- Guests must provide accurate personal details
- Guests must agree that their details match their government-issued identification
- Guests must use a valid payment method
In certain situations, Ospite Bee reserves the right to request additional verification, which may include proof of identity.
These situations include, but are not limited to:
- Damage claims
- Disputes between host and guest
- Chargebacks or payment abuse
- Safety or security concerns
- Repeated misuse of the platform
Failure to cooperate with verification requests may result in account suspension or removal.
Estate, Complex, or Security Access Requirements
Some properties are located in secure estates, gated communities, or buildings that require guest identification for access.
In these cases:
- ID is requested by the host or estate security, similar to hotel policies
- ID is shared directly with the host or security authority
Ospite Bee does not collect or store these documents
Guests are informed of such requirements before booking.
What Ospite Bee Does Not Do
To be clear:
- Ospite Bee does not store ID documents
- Ospite Bee does not issue or manage ID verification badges
- Ospite Bee does not guarantee guest behaviour or safety
- Ospite Bee does not replace host judgement
Our role is to provide a secure, accountable platform — not to act as law enforcement or insurers.

Before a stay begins, guests are securely verified through Truvi’s screening process, which helps reduce risk, prevent fraud, and protect your property from problematic bookings.
Damage Protection for Every Stay
For a flat fee of USD 25 per booking, hosts receive damage protection that covers both:
- Small, frequent incidents such as minor breakages, stains, or accidental damage
- Larger, more costly incidents, with protection covering damages from USD 0 up to USD 50,000
This means no excess, no complicated insurance claims, and no disputes with guests over minor issues.

- Guests are screened and verified via Truvi
- Damage protection is automatically applied to the booking
